Sapphic Sunday:

I don’t know if this even is the right use for the word: Sapphic, but let me explain. By Sapphic I don’t necessarily mean gay women (although there may be a few of those in these posts).
Some have their Weekend Crush. I’m gonna go with Sapphic Sunday.
Actually I only chose the title because I liked the sound of it, so if it doesn’t make any sense to you, then… That’s too bad. ;o)

Every Sunday is a reminder of new week. Some are better than others - and you might know that in advance. So I figured that a little Sapphic Sunday would get me through the week.

For this first Sapphic Sunday I've decided to clear up some things. And let me start by saying: I don't know these two women personally, but:

Yes they are married. To each other. No! I don't have pictures off their wedding.

I'm talking about Karman Kregloe and Bridget McManus.

A few other questions I would like to answer at once are:
No! I don't know how old Karman is.
Yes. Bridget has a blog. It's called Comedy Double Standards and yes Karman has a blog called Running On Fumes and I do believe that even Karmans mother Gail has a blog called I’m Getting It.

Now....

Why these two?
It was Bridget who introduced me to AfterEllen. Sort of.
While surfing comedy on YouTube I came across Bridget McManus. And wanting to find out more about her, I googled which led me to AfterEllen where I soon discovered a whole bunch of amazing women. Including Karman Kregloe and their joined vlog You Can't Take Them Anywhere! - or YCTTA!. And of course Brunch with Bridget (where it all began - for me that is) and Dara and Karman’s Hit List.

Thee two have certainly made my week more than once.

Karman Kregloe....And Cat on the Prowl

If you want to know about Karman Kregloe, her wedding to Bridget McManus, astrology or Cat Davis (Cat on the Prowl)... Go here!!!

Or watch the video here:
(I know it's 30 minutes+ but it's great. Both Cat and Karman are amazing women.)

Statcounter - and what I do with it....

I have StatCounter.
I got it, so I could see if anybody actually watched my blog.
Not that it matters - well obviously it matters. I love having followers and I love that people actually read what I write. But what I mean is, that I would probably write anyway....

There's also this thing (on StatCounter), that tells you what people are looking for, when they reach your page/blog.

What's the main search for the moment:
- Karman Kregloe (sorry Bridget...)

Karman leads by far, but she's followed by:
- Bridget Mcmanus and Karman Kregloe
- Beaver Bunch

The top 3 varies, but not much. Other words like: married?, truth or dare, gay... are added to the requests.

So maybe I need to write more about Karman Kregloe - or about the fact that Karman Kregloe and Bridget McManus are indeed married. And maybe I need to write more about The Beaver Bunch.

Or maybe people will never find exatcly they are searching for... 'cause I dont have all the answers.

Bridget McManus and Karman Kregloe.

In the words of Liz Feldman:

This Just Out:

Please be sure to read the intire article. I only posted the last page because it was the one who was most surprising. (At least to me. But definitely not in a bad way). At first I thought it was a stunt, but now I'm not so sure.

18,000 gay and lesbian couples were married in California during the six months it was legal, before the passage of Prop 8.

AfterEllen posted pictures of some of the happy couples.

Congratulations to all of you.

Bridget McManus

I just love her. She makes me cry - with laughter of course.
She's soooo funny. And it's not exactly a bad thing that she's cute (and hot!) too.
By the way. I would kill to have hair like that. It looks so soft and... Better not get started on that.
I can't quite remember if it was on AfterEllen.com or on YouTube I first saw her... Anyway. I guess that's not important. What is important is that I just can't seem to get enough of her. I have seen "Brunch with Bridget" so many times (going through the episodes one by one. Over and over again. Allthough I have my personal favorites).
And once again I thank you-know-who (and no it's not Voldemort) for YouTube.
Since I'm not an American, I haven't got the pleasure of seeing Miss McManus live so I turn to the second best. Lots and lots of videos!!!

I love comedy - especially when it's Bridget.
I heart Bridget!
