Sapphic Sunday:

Since I've been really idle lately (okay maybe not idle anywhere else except for this blog) I haven't had time to really think about what I wanted to post for this Sunday.

I haven't been spending a whole lot of time on the websites I usually spent my time before; like YouTube or AfterEllen.

Instead I go through kind of a schedule while I'm online. And besides websites like Twitter (which I usually read just not at the same time as everybody else...or so it seems at times), icanhascheezburger and Cake Wrecks (more about that one later...) I go to a specific website:

eurOut.

Let me give you a few quotes:

"eurOut: Visibility of lesbian and bisexual women in Europe".

"Whether with humour or seriousness, Europe’s only website of its kind, is not afraid to pay attention to injustice and to openly criticize it, but it doesn’t forget the fun of being gay either."

“Europe is very gay!” the eurOut team says, “It’s time for people to realize that.”

So what I'm aiming at is that if you aren't already paying attention to this website...then you need to go and check it out!

Happy Sunday.

I'm so slow...

When I'm at eurOut I usually go straight to the articles to catch up on things. And I will eventually get to figure out who's the website of the week - and since it's a Sunday to Sunday thing I always figure I have plenty of time to discover a new site.

Yeah...

So I'm actually a bit (read: extremely) embarrassed today. I just found out that this week’s website is actually my blog. *blushes*. [I believe my reaction was: Oh.. Wait? What?]
And it’s kind of weird seeing your header on an international website.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: I’m honored. Thank you :o)

Sometimes I wonder....

...where the hell I've been living for the past - I don't know - 30-some years?

I went over to eurOut to take the HMDYKAELE quiz - but I didn’t know any of the answers.....except for No. 1, 12 and 13. So I'm not entering that contest...

3 (THREE!!!) answers out of 15!?!?
Really???!?

I mean...REALLY?!?!?!?

Are you even gay???
Erhm...that would be pretty safe to assume, yes, but apparently I've been living in my own world. Like Fantasia (or Randomania)...? At least my info on the LGBTQ community has been rather random - up till I discovered AfterEllen (and now eurOut).
[the fact that I only recently(?) re-discovered my 'gay-ness' could also have something to do with my ignorence....]

So I wait patiently for the rest of the answers to the quiz (the deadline is midnight March 4th - standard European time +1 GMT).

You should give it a try.
The chances of you doing worse than me is non-existent ;o)

I'm sorry....

Sometimes life just gets in the way of...well life.

This monday (while I was finishing my post for Memory Monday) I got a call from my mother. My dad had had an accident at work. She wasn't sure how bad it was, but she couldn't go anywhere because my dad always takes the car to work. So she asked if I could take her. And of course I could.

I will spare you the cruel details, but 'after all' he 'only' injured a finger (the middle finger on his right hand - they were able to put it back on and he get's to keep it), but it still meant that we spend most of the evening at the hospital (My mom and I went home when he went to surgery). The next day we went to get him home.

I haven't been home since Monday and due to that I haven't been able to finish my post on Memory Monday. I haven't given an update on the Beaver Bunch topics for the week, I haven't uploaded tons and tons of random pictures, comic strips and/or videos...
I have postponed Memory Monday till next Monday.
The Beaver Bunch topics... I haven't even had time to see them yet, but I will and if you still haven't saved the url click on the Beaver Bunch logo over to the right.

I am way behind on everything this week:
YouTube (and The L Word)
AfterEllen (recaps, B.J. Fletcher and This Just Out, articles)
eurOut
MySpace
Twitter

Not to mention that I got a new carpet in my livingroom this weekend and I haven't been home to put the furniture back in place. Most of them are too heavy for one person to carry alone (my dad was supposed to help me but maybe I can get my brother-in-law to help).

But now that everything is back to normal hopefully I'll catch up on everything.
How was your week so far?
