And by 'people' I mostly mean Kenn Starr. You know... The guy with the Starr Report/Lewinsky Scandal.

Bridget McManus and Karman Kregloe.

In the words of Liz Feldman:
This Just Out:
Please be sure to read the intire article. I only posted the last page because it was the one who was most surprising. (At least to me. But definitely not in a bad way). At first I thought it was a stunt, but now I'm not so sure.
18,000 gay and lesbian couples were married in California during the six months it was legal, before the passage of Prop 8.
AfterEllen posted pictures of some of the happy couples.

Obama wins - gays lose... All in one day.
Even though it's a big, big, big YAY to Obamas election, something clouded the joy.
I will qoute what Sarah Warn wrote on her blog on AfterEllen.com:
"American gay rights were delivered a blow tonight, as propositions and amendments that deny or prevent the legalization of same-sex marriage were approved in Arizona and Florida, and marriage rights were actually taken away in California. Arkansas also made it illegal for gay couples to adopt..."
(Here's the whole piece: http://www.afterellen.com/blog/sarahwarn/election-08-results)
Suddenly I'm quite satisfied to live where I live.
Here gays can registrer as partners (much like the marriage at the city hall). It has been legal since 1989. Gays can adopt. Single women (sexual orientation not an issue) can get help to get pregnant.
So why is it, that America isn't ready for that?
I thought that America was supposed to be a rolemodel. A Supernation. Something to be proud of. What happend to: All men are created equal?
I just hope for you that Obama really can make a change.
