Straight week - sort of.


There isn't a week that goes by where we don't get a handful of questions regarding "straight" women...so this week is an ode to the straight girl...can't live with them and you can't live without them :)

- When you came out, did any of your straight female friends automatically assume you were telling them because you were attracted to them? How did you handle that?

- I'm in love with my straight BEST FRIEND, now what?

- What do you do when you have a major crush on a straight women that you absolutely, 100%, definitely and surely cannot have.

We get a handful of questions regarding body image in the LGBTQ community, so this week the Beavs are going to tackle the one topic no one likes to talk about...weight!

1) I am plus size and that makes it harder for me to find a woman. I was wondering if any of you have any advice for me on how to meet woman who are willing to look past what is on the outside and see the inner beauty?

2) Would you ever date a bigger woman?

3) Why the obsession with weight and the perfect body in the LGBTQ community?

Alright Beavers, it's time to think back to High School...we had a Baby Beaver ask the following: As a highschooler I was wondering how you guys dealt with homophobia when YOU were in highschool. I'm sure (as I definately do) you guys had to listen to homophobic remarks from classmates and backhanded comments from teachers. I'm sometimes torn about when to speak up- If I said something everytime I heard 'thats so gay' or 'you're such a fag' then... that would be basically every second of my day. You know the saying "choose your battles"- I guess I'm trying to ask when it is that you choose your battles/how did you deal with homophobia in high school.
