What's your astro sign?

And does its description fit you?
Just another random thought.

Here's mine:

Aries (The Ram) (cardinal, fire, personal): Keyword: "I am". The Aries person is assertive, brave, energetic, kind, action-oriented, intelligent, individualistic, independent, impulsive, full of strength, competitive, eager, straightforward, forceful, headstrong, pioneering, a leader, focused on the present and freedom-loving. They can also sometimes be intemperate, violent, impatient, fiery, rash, extreme, and arrogant. Suitable occupations are where initiative and enterprise are needed, and preferably physical activity; such as entrepreneurs, businessmen, soldiers, sportspeople and explorers. In medical astrology Aries governs the head and skull. In astrology Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. The sun sign dates for Aries are March 21 — April 19. The fire form of Aries is a wildfire, an uncontrolled fire. Therefore, commonly known as the most dangerous of the twelve signs.
So I'm dangerous...?!? WTF?

What I can agree on is "The Aries person is assertive, brave, energetic, kind, action-oriented, intelligent, individualistic, independent, impulsive, full of strength, competitive, eager, straightforward, forceful, headstrong, pioneering, a leader, focused on the present and freedom-loving." ;o) But the whole "preferably physical activity; such as entrepreneurs, businessmen, soldiers, sportspeople and explorers". Not my kind of thing. I hate sports. Exploring maybe (I did want to be the female version of Indiana Jones aka Tomb Raider, when I grew up). And the only thing I can absolutely agree on in the "They can also sometimes be intemperate, violent, impatient, fiery, rash, extreme, and arrogant" is that I do have a temper and I certainly can be impatient at times, but DANGEROUS? Seriously?

According to the doctor (my mother was attending when she was pregnant) I should have been a Pisces. I believe him.

Pisces (The Fish) (mutable, water, universal): Keyword: "I believe". The Pisces person is compassionate, empathetic, imaginative, sensitive, mystical, spiritual, dreamy, passive, easy-going, idealistic, visionary, inspirational, accepting, undiscriminating, charitable, believes in soul growth, self-sacrificing and artistic. They can also sometimes be distracted, detached, illusory, impractical, gullible, neglectful, escapist and lazy. Suitable occupations are where compassionate and intuitive qualities are needed; such as caring for the sick, needy and animals, religious, social workers, hospitals and institutions, poets, writers, actors, psychics, and models. In medical astrology Pisces governs the feet and immune system. In astrology Pisces is ruled by the planets Jupiter and Neptune. The sun sign dates for Pisces are February 20 — March 20. The water form of Pisces is the ocean.

But luckily wikipedia states:
Astrologers consider each of the signs to represent an ideal type. In other words, no individual shows all of the characteristics of any one sign. Rather each person is a combination of many signs, which must be assessed as a whole in that person's horoscope or natal chart.
Ahh. Now I can go back to my normal life again. I wonder why I never really read horoscopes?

In case you want to check out your own astro sign.

Topics of the week.

This weeks topics from The Beaver Bunch:
It's a bit lighter this week.

Enjoy!

We promised cupcakes and rainbows this week - so here are some questions we've received that are on the light and fluffy side - you better play along!

SHOW...
...a sample of your handwriting

WHAT...
...is the number one thing in life you enjoy doing?

ARE...
...you into fake boobs vs. real boobs, or plastic surgery in general?
...there any weird foods you eat?
...you a Mac or PC?
...you an introvert of extrovert?

Memory Monday.

Apparently I have had too much time off lately. I say this because I've been 'walking down Memory Lane' and I've found a lot of movies and series from my childhood I had 'forgotten' all about. And by childhood I also mean early teens.
There are too many for just one post. So here's part one.

Beauty and the Beast:
Info from wikipedia.
No. I’m not talking about the Disney cartoon version. I’m talking about a series with Linda Hamilton in the lead (as Beauty of course – Ron Pearlman was the Beast).
I paid some attention to Linda Hamilton in the first Terminator, but I totally fell in love with her in Beauty and the Beast. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t think the world of the show today (as it has happened to pretty much every movie or series I loved when I was a kid), but I did then.

Really? A show about a woman (attorney), who is scared for life (during an abduction gone bad) and survives only because a man – who is part lion, and lives in the underground with a whole bunch of other (odd) people - takes you to the underground and nurses you until you are well again. And then you frequently pay visits to them afterwards. Mainly because said lion-man is the sole protector of the city, even though he is scary as hell when he goes all lion on you.

Anyway. Moving on.
The next I saw of Linda Hamilton, was when she starred in Terminator 2: Judgment Day . And oh boy. Those arms.

It's not that I don't remember this one. I just LOVED Linda Hamilton in it. This is one crazy chick that's hot (maybe Ilene Chaiken should have paid attention to this movie....). I especially love the scene when she's working out in her cell.

The Karen Carpenter Story:
Karen Carpenter was portrayed by Cynthia Gibb.
Now I know this doesn’t seem like a childhood movie, but I was barely a teenager, when I first saw it. Considering that The Carpenters were the first group I idolized (besides ABBA – I was a strange kid…) and the fact that I knew every song by heart (I still know most of them by heart), this was THE movie to watch. Strangely enough the whole thing with Karen Carpenters suicide came as a surprise to me. I thought she was alive and well. It was a bit of a shock.

Gremlins:
I loved this movie for two reasons. Gizmo the Mogwai and Phoebe Cates.
Now who didn't want one of these.

Phoebe Cates was more famous for her role in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", I guess (I think it had something to do with a pool and a bikini - and it was a pretty good scene as well right up to the point where Judge Reinhold spoiled it), but I loved her in Gremlins.

Will be continued....

Danish comic strips.

Just thought I would share these. The comics are made by two Danes, who gives their POV in a (to my opinion) sarcastic and funny way.
These are a selection. And as always in random order of apperance:

Hot blondes... Anyone?

I've been on a Quest. A mission.
I've had a really hard time trying to find any blonde women I actually think is hot beyond words.
Well it's not entirely true...
I find Charlize Theron extremely hot. Like all-round hot (as in hot no matter what she acts/does). And hey, wouldn't you?
But she's it?!?
It's not that I can't think of any blondes. I just don't find them as attractive as I find brunettes (or red haired). Well maybe Diane Gaidry, and Erin Kelly (I have only seen her with dark hair, but apparently she's a 'natural blonde' - and I just went totally 'Loving Annabelle' again...).
But then I searched my computer (and Google the Internet) for pictures, and it hit me:
What was I thinking?

Both Kate Winslet

and Keira Knightley

could definitely rock my...erhm...world!

So point proven (?!?).
I like women - regardless of their hair color ;o)

This weeks topic on The Beaver Bunch:

This weeks topic is a bit more serious than usual, but never the less it's an importent one:

A Baby Beaver sent in an email highlighting the idea that abuse in the gay community tends to get swept under the rug, so when a person is abused by his/her significant other, they may not know where to turn. This week, it's time for the Big Beavs to cover the topic of abuse in the GLBTQ community - Big Beavs and Baby Beavs as you can imagine this is a sensitive and serious topic - please be respectful in your videos, comments and video responses :)

You should go watch!

Yet another quiz (or four)...

....but I like the outcome on this one ;o)

But I'm not sure what to think about this.....

Should I be dating myself?

Also I seem to have problems with my social skills - but I'm über intelligent...

But all in all I seem to be a bit of a....erhm...geek (or nerd)...

Maybe I need to make a career change?
